About Us

Breaking Waves is a brand new venture for me, and I am currently the sole owner/instructor. I grew up on the east coast, and a lot of time spent in the forest and ocean left me with a deep appreciation of the outdoors. Undergraduate and graduate degrees in biology, and a stint as a professional birdwatcher only served to strengthen my appreciation and respect for the world around us. Ten years of teaching experience, both in the classroom and the field, have made me comfortable communicating knowledge and skills to a wide range of audiences. I look forward to meeting you, and hope to pass on some of my own enthusiasm of outdoor pursuits.
